I Was So Excited…

June 17, 2024

Each week throughout the Bible Adventure year we open God’s Word and read/study together.  I never want the students to think I am just telling them a story.  I want them to read the truths for themselves.

One lesson was on Nehemiah rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem.  I had a picture of the Jerusalem wall so the students could visual the immenseness of the project.  One student was so into the lesson that he used an expletive.  I told him we don’t use that word in the wrong way.  The puzzled look told me he didn’t know what he had done wrong.

As the lesson continued, I heard it again, actually four times.  After class as we spoke, he told me, “I was just so excited when I saw how big the wall was and how small the people were that it just came out.”

This student, like many students, takes in every word like a thirsty sponge soaking in each truth.  Bible Adventure has opened his world to God and biblical truths.  We had the opportunity to share Jesus with 3,200+ students each week throughout the school year. Many of these students won’t receive biblical training during the summer months.  Pray as we share Jesus with this generation
