Julie Bortner

Equipping Coordinator

Julie brings a lifelong passion for teaching and discipleship to her role as Equipping Coordinator at Joy El. After first becoming involved with Bible Adventure in 2011 as a listener, she later served as a School Coordinator before joining the ministry staff. Today, she loves helping schools establish Bible Adventure programs and seeing children hear about Jesus for the first time while growing in their understanding of God’s Word.

Julie has a degree in Athletic Training (or Sports Medicine), which she practiced for 20 years while building a Financial Services Business for the past 25 years. She was born and raised in France as a missionary kid, but now resides in York with her husband Dave, their son and dog. She has two young adult children who are finding their path on their own. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, lifting, camping, road trips with her sister, and spending time with her kids and dog. Isaiah 26:4 and Micah 6:8 have been an encouragement to her as she continues to trust in the Lord’s faithful guidance.
